Miranda Lambert is bringing her new era home to Texas. The country superstar will celebrate the release of her highly anticipated new album, Crisco, with a one-night-only album release show at Fort Worth’s legendary Billy Bob’s Texas on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The album arrives Oct. 2 via MCA, with tickets for the special performance going on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. CT via MirandaLambert.com.
The choice of venue is particularly fitting. For generations, Billy Bob’s Texas has served as one of country music’s most iconic dance halls, making its sprawling dance floor an ideal setting for an album that draws inspiration from the unexpected connection between country’s honky-tonk tradition and the pulse of disco. “When I was in the studio recording Crisco, I kept picturing the rhinestone saddle at Billy Bob’s,” Lambert says. “It’s the perfect visual for a country disco album: honky tonk with some extra rhinestones and shine. I’ve played some of my all-time favorite shows at Billy Bob’s and it felt like the best place to bring everyone together to have fun and live out the feeling of this album.”
The announcement follows Friday’s release of “Sunset Marquis,” a dreamy, California-soaked track that adds another dimension to the forthcoming project. The song joins Crisco’s previously released title track, “Till The Going’s Gone” and “A Song To Sing,” Lambert’s GRAMMY-nominated collaboration with Chris Stapleton. “A Song To Sing” made a particularly strong early impact, delivering the biggest streaming debut of Lambert’s career. Rolling Stone praised the collaboration for its “dreamy disco groove and lovestruck devotion,” offering an early glimpse at the genre-blurring creative direction Lambert is taking with Crisco.
Tickets for Miranda Lambert’s Oct. 6 album release show at Billy Bob’s Texas go on sale Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. CT.
The album follows Lambert’s 2024 GRAMMY-nominated Postcards From Texas, which extended her remarkable streak of 10 consecutive Top 10 albums on the Top Country Albums chart. Across a career defined by commercial success and critical acclaim, Lambert has established herself as one of country music’s most decorated artists, earning three GRAMMY Awards, 14 CMA Awards and more ACM Awards than any artist in the organization’s history, including its prestigious Entertainer of the Year honor.
A TIME100 honoree and frequent presence on year-end lists from outlets including The New York Times, TIME, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum and People, Lambert has built a career that extends well beyond the recording studio and concert stage. NPR has called her “the most riveting country star of her generation.” Her entrepreneurial reach has expanded in tandem with her music career. Lambert co-founded Big Loud Texas with longtime collaborator Jon Randall in partnership with Big Loud Records, launched the Casa Rosa Tex-Mex cantina on Nashville’s Lower Broadway, became a New York Times bestselling author and developed Wanda June Home and Idyllwind, her western-inspired clothing, accessories and footwear brand with Boot Barn.
Her commitment to animal welfare has also become a defining part of her offstage work. Through MuttNation Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit she founded to support shelter pets and rescue organizations, Lambert has helped raise more than $13 million since its inception, supporting adoption initiatives, spay and neuter programs, disaster recovery and shelters across the country. But on Oct. 6, the focus will return to the music—and to Texas. With Crisco, Lambert is leaning into a fresh sonic identity built around the intersection of country, disco, dance halls and rhinestone glamour. And at Billy Bob’s Texas, she’ll have the perfect stage to turn that concept into a live celebration. For Lambert, the album release show promises to be more than a concert. It’s a homecoming; one set against the backdrop of one of Texas’ most legendary country music institutions, with a new record designed to get fans on the dance floor. Crisco arrives Oct. 2 via MCA.
