At just 19, Ty Myers is already making history. The Texas-bred singer-songwriter and guitarist headlined Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug. 30, becoming the youngest country artist to headline the legendary venue and the youngest artist of any genre to do so since Billie Eilish.
The milestone arrives as Myers continues his successful The Legal Tour and prepares to release his new album, Two Braids & The Truth – My Tribute to Willie, on Sept. 18. The 10-track project pays tribute to Willie Nelson through songs that have helped shape Myers’ musical identity. Fans can pre-save the album now.
Myers’ Red Rocks set drew heavily from his GOLD-certified 2025 debut, The Select, and his 2026 follow-up, Heavy On The Soul, with performances of “Ends of the Earth,” “Thought It Was Love,” “Drinkin’ Alone,” “Stay” and his chart-climbing “Message to You.” He also delivered a particularly personal rendition of Nelson’s “Always On My Mind,” featuring emerging singer-songwriter Carter Faith. Released Aug. 21 as the first preview of Two Braids & The Truth, the track earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s “All the Songs You Need to Know This Week.”
The tribute arrives just days before Myers joins Nelson for a series of high-profile performances. On Sept. 22 and 24, he’ll appear with Willie Nelson & Family and Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Philadelphia. Then, on Sept. 26, Myers will make his Farm Aid debut in Virginia Beach, Virginia, alongside Nelson, Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff and others. For Myers, who grew up on his family’s cattle ranch near Austin, the Farm Aid appearance adds another milestone to a breakout year that has already included recognition from Billboard’s 21 Under 21 Class of 2026 and Fender Next.
With Two Braids & The Truth – My Tribute to Willie arriving Sept. 18 and The Legal Tour continuing through November, Myers’ rapid ascent shows no signs of slowing down. His debut performance at Austin City Limits is also set to air Oct. 31 as part of Season 52.
