Parton Was Working Up Until The End, Building A Legacy Designed To Live On
HER LEGACY LIVES ON
Following the reported passing of global icon Dolly Parton, her team is moving to reassure millions of fans around the world that the extraordinary collection of projects she had in development will continue to come to life.
Parton, whose career transcended country music to encompass film, television, publishing, philanthropy, fashion, hospitality and countless other ventures, was still working on new ideas until the end of her life. “Dolly worked up until the day she died. She loved seeing her dreams come to life, and loved knowing her work brought people joy,” says longtime manager Danny Nozell. “Ever the planner, Dolly worked with the team that she handpicked, for the past several years to build a project roadmap that will guide us for decades to come.”
Nozell added that the team overseeing Parton’s legacy intends to honor the plans she established and complete projects that were already in motion. “As the leader of the team responsible for overseeing her legacy, we will ensure the many dreams she had yet to fulfill are brought to life,” he says. “Many projects were in various stages of development, and we want to be transparent with her fans about this fact.”
That distinction could become increasingly important in the months and years ahead. Parton’s creative pipeline extended far beyond music, with projects spanning entertainment, hospitality, consumer products and new forms of storytelling. “If you see unreleased music, products, books, experiences, and campaigns launched through official Dolly Parton channels, you can have confidence in knowing that she placed her personal stamp on it,” Nozell says.
A ROADMAP FOR THE FUTURE

And that list represents only the projects already far enough along to be publicly identified.
MORE DOLLY IS STILL TO COME
Additional projects in the pipeline are expected to be revealed in the coming months, including a Dolly avatar show, which Parton herself discussed in a recent PEOPLE interview.
Other projects reportedly in development include a Dolly musical documentary, a Dolly biopic, a Dolly docuseries, a Dolly scripted series and a Billy The Kid animated series, among numerous additional creative and commercial projects.
For an artist who spent her career turning songs, stories and ideas into enduring cultural moments, the scale of that pipeline offers perhaps the clearest indication of how deliberately Parton planned for the future.
Her passing may mark the end of a remarkable chapter, but it does not necessarily mean the end of the work she set in motion.
Parton spent decades building a world around her music — one populated by characters, stories, businesses, causes, experiences and, above all, optimism. Now, that world has a roadmap.
And according to her team, the story is far from finished.
