With more than three decades of chart-topping hits behind him, Kenny Chesney is proving that his creative drive is as strong as ever. As anticipation builds for his 21st studio album, Silver Sands Marina, the country superstar has unveiled the project's official track list while offering fans a deeper glimpse into the stories and emotions that shaped one of his most personal collections to date.
Following the momentum of lead single "Carry On," which has quickly climbed into the Top 10 at country radio, and the reflective fan favorite "Silver Sands Marina," accompanied by its cinematic, wistful music video, the 11-track album finds Chesney balancing optimism with honesty. Set for release on Sept. 25, the record reflects an artist embracing life's complexities while remaining grounded in the uplifting spirit that has defined his career.

"It's funny how records show you who they are," Chesney says. "And Silver Sands Marina came together in a whole other way when we found the title track, and a couple others. When we went in and cut those last three tracks, I realized: it's like a rock in your shoe, it'll bother you until it's right when you're dealing in songs. But when it's right, you know."
The project arrives during another milestone year for the country icon. Fresh off his second residency at Sphere and following his 2025 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Chesney intentionally kept the album concise, allowing each song room to breathe and connect with listeners as a complete body of work. "Some of these songs are unlike anything people have heard, or haven't heard in a long time," Chesney explains. "Some of them go deep, some of them will make people turn it up, a few will make them laugh… But, together, I think they'll remind them how great it is to be alive. Even on days where you need a song like 'Carry On,' we're making the best of what we've got."
To celebrate the album announcement, Chesney will return to TalkShopLive on July 30 for a special fan event, where he'll discuss the making of Silver Sands Marina, share stories behind key tracks and answer questions directly from No Shoes Nation. "I loved talking about Heart Life Music on TalkShopLive, because it let me get inside what we were trying to do and the process," he says. "It was a chance to show people how much telling my story meant to me, and I feel the same way about this record." Fans tuning into the livestream will also have access to exclusive collectibles, including a limited-edition signed picture vinyl available only through TalkShopLive, alongside signed vinyl editions and CDs available for preorder during the event.
Meanwhile, "Carry On" continues to resonate with audiences as one of the summer's most uplifting country anthems. Anchored by its carefree message "If it feels good do it, if it doesn't then don't..." the single embodies the positive outlook that has become synonymous with Chesney's catalog, encouraging listeners to embrace the moment, find joy in the everyday and lean on music through every season of life. "Sometimes the best medicine is just turning up the music, turning to the person next to you and singing out loud," Chesney says. "Happy, mad, sad, it doesn't really matter: music makes most things better. Even if it can't solve your problem, it'll make your heart a little lighter, and when it is feeling good, it'll just take it to another level."
With Silver Sands Marina, Chesney once again demonstrates that longevity isn't simply about staying relevant; it's about continuing to evolve while remaining true to the storytelling, emotional authenticity and life-affirming spirit that have made him one of country music's most enduring voices. As Sept. 25 approaches, the album is shaping up to be another defining chapter in a remarkable career.
